This a resource and links page. I try to add links to resources that I know reliable, and offer authentic info, supplies, and products. I can not monitor these sources regularly, so if you find a link is dead, or the service or quality of a supplier or business has dropped, please inform me, and understand that at the time I add the links, there are of good standing and reputation.
I hope the following links help you in your aromatic adventures, and from my recent experiences, I have found them valuable.
Fellow Blogs
This is a growing list of blogs that are informative and relative to perfumes and incense.

  • http://margihealing.wordpress.com/-Some Energy Thing- This is a really neat and informative blog site. Margi Macdonald has made an educational and intriguingly fun blog that has a wealth of interesting topics that those that love original writing and love learning about things relevant to the natural world will no doubt find this a useful site. Another favorite blog of mine!
  • Oh True Apothecary- This is a really great informative blog with a lot of personality.
  • http://esscentualalchemy.wordpress.com/-Esscentual Alchemy-A wonderful, informative blog, that I follow because it covers all of the little nooks and corners of perfumery. The entries are like articles, fun and interesting!
  • http://carmelperfume.blogspot.com/-Carmel Perfume Blog- This is Shelley Waddington’s blog, she is a perfumer of unique, very unique, perfumes, she gets her inspiration from nature. The writing is just beautiful, and it is very informative! If you want a good read and want to learn something, check out this blog.
  • http://perfumebynature.blogspot.com/-Perfumes by Nature Blog- Perfume house Perfume by Nature’s head perfumer/creator, Ambrosia, has created a blog that bursts forth with her personality, all of it blunt, honest, and just such a refreshing read. I don’t think I’ve seen a blog quite like this before. I enjoy reading this blog.
  • http://africanaromatics.wordpress.com/-African Aromatics- This is one of my favorite blogs, really it is. Sophia, the writer, has excellent articles and posts. I learned so much about enfleurage in one of her posts, titled Enfleurage 101.”Eau de Dassie” is also a favorite article/post she wrote, it is a fascinating piece on the rock hyrax, where perfumers get the raw material, African Stone.  She also is a natural perfumer, and I can’t wait until I get a hold of a sample of her stuff to review! Just a truly awesome blog, sorry to gush, but like I said, it’s a favorite of mine.
  • http://olfactoryrescueservice.wordpress.com-Olfactory Rescue Service-A very resourceful site. Although the aim of the site is to be a incense review blog, you will find this to be a educational  read. I don’t believe that there is another site that goes so in-depth into incense in the current market. The blog is not just one person, there is Mike, lover of incense, Ross who I think has a fondness for perfumes too, Nancy, and Anne. If you love Japanese incense, you will especially love this site. But they also review and write about other forms of incense, like champas, stick, loose, Tibetan, American, dhoop, cone etc. A much recommended site!
  • http://sweetcreekherbs.blogspot.com/-Sweet Creek Herbs Blog- Although this not a perfumery or even an incense blog, the creator of Sweet Creek Herbs, blogs about her business, products, but also of things relevant to things that may effect consumers and makers of natural cosmetics,( like a piece about the deceptive Safe Cosmetics Act, back in August.) I think this will interest those that don’t just have a hobby in perfumery and incense, but those that embrace all natural products.
  • http://blossomingtree.blogspot.com/-Blossoming Tree Blog-  This is the Blossoming Tree Blog. Lisa, is making a effort to let people know about the shady Safe Cosmetics Act. But that is not just what this interesting and warm blog is about. She writes about her recent events and competitions within the perfumery community (The Mystery of Musk) and about random pondering, flowers, and of course, aromatics.
  • http://scentyousay.blogspot.com/-Scent, You Say?- This is Lisa’s, from Blossoming Tree, other blog. It ventures into all sorts of various perfumes and smelly subjects, you don’t know what you are going to find there!
  • http://curtisdward.wordpress.com/-Dr. Curtis D. WardThis is a blog that goes unto the more historical side of incense and aromatics. Highly suggested.
  • http://etsysdarksideteam.blogspot.com/-EtsyDarkTeam- A blog that aids temptation. This blog is about and by, the sellers on Etsy, with a darker side- goth, witchery, etc. I have to stay away from their favorite picks page because I will come off my computer, with a lighter bank account.

  • http://www.bluestarincense.com/-Blue Star Incense- I found this incense production via a yahoo group I am in, and after checking out their site, I realized that this is one of the few small businesses in the incense market that makes natural incense, instead of synthetic dipped incense. When I get the time, this is another incense I will review. The prices are very nice.
  • http://www.bayouwitchincense.com/-Bayou Witch Incense-I found this via Facebook, and I am glad I did, it is a terrifically fun site! Natural incense, ju ju dolls, perfume oils, and so much more! I really like this place.

Suppliers for Perfume or Incense Ingredients
This is a list of trusted suppliers for natural ingredients that may be used in incense and natural perfumery. A lot of them carry essential oils, absolutes, CO2, concretes, ruhs, enfleurages, tinctures, infusions, hydrosols, waxes, attars, choyas, butters, carriers, powders, resins, woods, etc. A few carry perfumery grade oils, and some sell different grades/versions of a certain botanical extract.

  • http://www.edenbotanicals.com/-Eden Botanicals- A online store that has been operating for awhile, specializing in amber products, but also has a awesome list of essential oils, absolutes,CO2s,extracts, and butters. The prices are fair, the shipping is low generally, and a lot of their oils are perfumery grade, fine perfumery grade, or organic.
  • Equinox Aromatics – This is a great site. The resins for sale are amazing and they have excellent customer service.
  • http://www.sunrosearomatics.com/-Sun Rose Aromatics- A supplier of essential oils, absolutes, and CO2′s, They also carry single note dilutions, for those that may want rose oil, but don’t want to pay a very high price. • http://www.profumo.it/- Profumo- This is actually an Italian site, so you may need to translate the page with the Google translator option, or you can just know Italian. This is a very unique site. They carry authentic ambergris, civet, musks, and beaver pods, and aromatic natural oils of course.  If your not opposed to using animal aromas in your concoctions, for incense and natural perfumery, then this is a great site for you. I believe that the ambergris is collected from beached whales, and not from whaling.

Online Perfume Stores
Wanting to buy or sample perfumes? These are some of the best places to buy online. Although with some of them, if you are looking for all natural perfumes, you may have to sift through some of their pages to find them. I have tried to include sources that sell completely natural perfumes.

  • http://www.whitewitch.ie/-White Witch- I had included this is the suppliers section, but the owner, natural perfumer Ruth Ruane sells her natural perfumes here too. Very nice, I think this site is ran out of Ireland.
  • http://www.scentofnature.net/-Scent of Nature- This is a site that sells botanical natural perfumes, specifically Coeur d’Esprit perfumes. I definitely suggest checking this site out. It also has information on accords, and essences, and I believe the owner does personal consultations.
  • http://anyasgarden.com/-Anya’s Garden- Anya McCoy is a natural perfumer, who is also president of the Natural Perfumers Guild. This is her site that she sells her perfumes under the name, Anya’s Garden.
  • http://theperfumedcourt.com/default.aspx-The Perfumed Court-  A online perfume store with a massive amount of different brands, from drugstore to natural to perfumes you may not be able to find in your country.
  • http://www.scentiments.com/-Scentiments- This is a discount perfume store, mostly offering main stream perfumes/eau de toilette. It would be harder to find all natural perfumes here, but you can find some amazing discounts here for the more commercial brands.
  • http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/-Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab- This is a unusual, but successful perfumery house or business. They have many perfumes, with themes, such as Lewis Carol’s Alice in Wonderland, and Neil Gaiman’s Stardust novel. BPAL (what it is shortened to by fans) has a huge following, and their perfume samples are lovingly called “Imp’s Ears”. They make a effort to use natural aromatics and ingredients. A site worth exploring.
  • http://lesparfumsisabelle.co.uk/default.aspx- Les Parfums d’Isabelle- This is a UK site, featuring French perfumer Isabelle Gelle. She is a natural perfumer, who takes her inspiration from nature.
  • http://www.joannebassett.com/-Joanne Bassett’s Online Boutique- Glorious natural perfumes are offered on this site, made by natural perfumer, and Southern Californian resident, Joanne Bassett. This is a elegant site, and she also offers authentic and quality perfume ingredients. I also suggest that you take advantage of her offer to make custom perfumes for yourself or someone you love.
  • http://www.nocturnealchemy.com/-Nocturne Alchemy- A small perfume house, but with interesting and ancient Egyptian theme based perfumes. I have not personally tried these yet, but a friend of mine swears that they are very nice. I think they use fragrant oils imported from Egypt.
  • http://www.lordsjester.com/welcome.html-Lord Jester’s- This a newer perfume house, but is picking up a fan base. They work hard to produce natural perfumes, using old fashioned and traditional methods. You can buy perfumes in liquid or solid.
  • http://www.etsy.com/shop/ForStrangeWomen- For Strange Women- This a link to a Etsy shop. For Strange Women has such a wonderful array of perfumes and products, that it’s hard to pick what you want to try first. There is a quiet darkness about the products, but at the same time they exudes a bright grace. If you want want something different, but lovely, try these out.
  • http://www.heavensalchemyperfumes.com/index.html- Heaven’s Alchemy- This is a site started by a husband and wife team, and their goal is to use nothing chemical, only natural, they don’t even employ alcohol in their perfumes.
  • http://www.faeriemadesoaps.com/-Faerie Made Soaps- This business is from my stomping ground in Asheville, NC. Although their name mentions soaps, they are not just soap makers. They have bath and body products, and produce all natural perfumes. They line is not large right now, but I suspect that eventually they will expand their list of perfumes. I tried their Sandalwood Amber awhile back, and it was very nice.
  • http://www.purrfumery.com/index.php-Velvet and Sweet Pea’s Purrfumery- I love cats. Velvet and Sweet Pea grace the home page with their cute devilish kitty faces. But don’t let the light hearted home page convince that the products are not serious perfumes. The perfumes offered are natural and cruelty free, and made from the high quality ingredients. You can buy liquid, creme, eau de parfums and hydrosols.
  • http://www.etsy.com/shop/faunfare- Faunfare- This is another Etsy shop link. Faunfare creates natural perfumes, with a pagan core to it. They have a very loyal customer base, and their prices are wonderfully affordable. These come out of Australia.
  • http://www.illuminatedperfume.com/-Illuminated Perfume- This is a simple, gracefully designed site. Roxana Villa is a natural perfumer, she uses her knowledge of aromatherapy and honest talent to create pure and high end botanical perfume. Roxana used to be a illustrator, and I believe that some of the bottle illustrations might be by her.
  • http://www.providenceperfume.com/-Providence Perfumes- Providence perfumes are created from natural botanicals and are the creation of Charna Ethier. Very high quality products.
  • http://www.pacificaperfume.com/- Pacifica Perfume- This is a large company, but their focus is on providing perfumes that are made of natural ingredients and materials. Their products are carried at a lot of larger natural food supermarkets. They offer liquid perfumes, solid versions of all the perfumes, and body butters that match. Their prices are decent too.
  • http://www.etsy.com/shop/MidnightGypsyAlchemy- Midnight Gypsy Alchemy- Yet another Etsy shop. Etsy is just bursting with talented natural perfumers lately, none of them boring or cookie cutter. Midnight Gypsy Alchemy is a unique perfume shop, with some bath and body products. They names are neat too, like The Evening Stars and Tea & Tarot. All their perfumes are perfume oils.
  • http://www.tigerflag.com/-Tiger Flag Natural Perfumery- This is listed in the suppliers links section, but there is also natural perfumes on this site that are, well, wonderful.
  • http://www.etsy.com/shop/uniquegarden OR http://www.artfire.com/users/Unique_Garden- Unique Garden- An Artfire and a Etsy seller, Unique Garden makes mostly natural perfume oils, only using fragrance oils when the natural scent wanted is unavailable in extract form. I love that the shops have this comfy cottage feel, and she (Tammy Anderson) also sells a plethora of cosmetics and soaps.
  • http://www.etsy.com/shop/sweetcreekherbs-Sweet Creek Herbs- Although Kathleen, the creator, does not sale perfumes exclusively, she does carry a single note Jasmine Sambac perfume oil, and a body powder, talc free, called Rose Pink, with roses and rose geranium for scent. But that is not why I repeatedly buy from this seller, not only are her scented products, soaps, body butters, powders, and oil, spectacular, her shampoo bars, natural and handmade, will make your hair your “crowning glory”. I also love the smells of rosemary green tea when I wash my hair with her silk amino bars. Salon shampoos do not stand up to the luxury of her shampoos.
