The Hall of Smoke and Ashes: A List of Artisan Incense Makers

Welcome to the Hall of Smoke and Ashes! This is a page devoted to listing artisan incense makers, who make quality incense. I can not say if all the artisans I list will have 100% natural 100% of the time, but I would not list them if I did not think their products were of quality and value. I suspect that if  synthetics are used in any of these incenses, the makers will most likely state so. This list is in no way exhaustive, and is a growing page, like our other pages. Please inform Eric, the owner, of any links that are dead.

  • Karl’s Didgeridoo Shack- I really like this guy’s incense! I did a positive review on these incenses, I can state enough how excited we are here at the Haus to see these incenses out and about. The incenses are natural, hand rolled, hand ground and hand made. These sticks come Virginia. Click the link to see an interview over at Equinox Aromatics, and to scope out their incenses.
  • Fred Soll- I really like Fred Soll’s artisan incense, my favorite right now is Joyous Rose. The are really resinous, hence the statement “Resin on a stick”
  • Forest Grove Botanica- An Etsy shop. This shop seems to have a lot of nifty things, like oils and salves. They also have some really nice looking incenses, and smudge wands.
  • Little Hippie Mama’s Incense Shop- A sweet looking Etsy shop, with a wide assortment of botanical incense cones, with a rustic feel, and catnip mousy’s.
  • Incienso de Santa Fe- These little bricks of incense are only made from already dead trees, no live trees are sought out and chopped down for their products and I believe a majority of their packaging is recycled. They carry southwestern vibe scents, like alder, pinon, cedar etc. We absolutely love their incense holders as well.
  • Juniper Ridge- These  incense are like traditional campfire scents, pinon, cedar, white sage etc. 100% wild gathered from the deserts and mountains of the west.
  • Ancient Forest – Incense that is ethically harvested and 100% natural. They seem to do mostly southwestern/South American based blends like copal, palo santo, sage, but they do have a champa and some frankincense blends. Fantastic!
  • Nu Essence- Resin blends, based off astrology and esoteric beliefs. Very interesting.
  • Phytognosis- A very compelling Etsy seller, who seems to specialize in natural rare incense ingredients. I think some of their incense relate to the traditions of Hoodoo and Native America.

  2. Dear Sir/Madam

Here I would like to offer a genuine aloeswood from Indonesia where I was with my team to produce this oil comes from the rainforest trees and aloes which we inoculation also derived from a cultivated tree farmer.
Currently there are some who want to buy our oil in Indonesia who came from Indonesia itself and from Singapore / Malaysia where they are traders. But I think it would be better if the trader was from the country by users like you because it will give a better purchase price.
So I mean you may be interested to cooperate in marketing and aloes in your country

    Best Regards,

    Chandra
